A two-stroke engine provides lightweight design, higher R.P.M.'s and greater power-to-weight ratios than four stroke engines. A carburetor that allows each unit to be used in any position, with no oil pump or reservoirs to deal with. 85% part inter-changeability between models. In addition, all Echo engines meet or exceed EPA and CARB emission standards.
1. Extremely hard, high silica content aluminum is the material of choice for the cylinder and pistons of high speed two-stroke engines.
2. Purge pump-equipped carburetor provides easy starts and extends starter life by limiting number of pulls required to start the engine.
3. Extra heavy-duty ball bearings support the massive crankshaft on both sides.
4.Thin fins, and more of them, provide greater cooling efficiencies than competitive engines.
5. Large muffler lowers both the level and tone of the exhaust noise. This tone is more pleasing to the ear.
6. The cylinder is hard chrome plated to reduce wear and extend life.
